My journey as a therapist began over 26 years ago, guided by a deep curiosity about yoga, meditation, and spiritual life. Since opening my first private psychology practice in 2004, I’ve immersed myself in Vipassana meditation, the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, and mindfulness communities that have shaped both my life and my work.
Through moves, relationships, and raising children, I’ve continually returned to Buddhist teachings and the grounding power of daily practice. Now based in the Northern Rivers, I support individuals and couples across Australia and worldwide, offering a compassionate, inclusive space for healing, self-discovery, and the exploration of sexuality and identity.
My trauma-informed approach is rooted in Buddhist philosophy and embodied through somatic experiencing, with mindfulness and compassion at the heart of every session.
Medicare rebates are available with a MHCP and GP referral, and I would be honoured to walk with you on your journey toward clarity, ease, and connection.

Insight meditation is known as Vipassana in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. The insight meditation Kate practices is a contemporary application of Buddhist teachings.
Insight meditation practice is founded on Buddhist approach to ethics, mindfulness, depth meditation and is focused on the opening of insight.
Insight meditation allows us to develop clear seeing into reactions and distortions arising in our daily life, and through this clarifying of awareness, the experience of a stillness of mind arises. This experience leads then to opening oneself, and consciousness experience, to the entirety of this wonderous life.
Kate holds a weekly dana based meditation evenings and regular retreats incorporating the insight meditation teachings.

Soul-making is a set of understandings and practices that are oriented to becoming less bound up in a world of flat materiality and more open a range of felt experiences which can include: sense of meaning, a calling, a sense of reverence, soulfulness itself, sacredness, unfathomability, senses of love, dimensionality.
This meditation retreat provides a space to engage with images or figures or gods that could be seen as having an imaginal existence, rather than a physical existence. With a secular foundation this retreat provided guidance on what is helpful and what to watch out for in developing sensitivity and discernment when opening to this field.
